Sadly, my mom hates animals. She has some clean freak thing about them, I don't know. But seriously, how could you resist this face?

Labradoodle puppies are so stinkin' cute!

Anyways, I am hoping the next few weeks to start putting up outfits that I have put together. Sort of like a 'What I'm Wearing Today' thing.

This is probably the shortest post ever, but whatever I guess.

Little Lovelies- 1st edition !

Okay so new segment I'm starting, Little Lovelies. This will discuss all my fashion and makeup favorites ,in stores and that I have, at the moment. So lets get this started!

Okay so I'm loving basically everything forever 21 and Charlotte Russe. Both of these stores basically carry a mish mosh of popular styles of clothing. Forever 21 has a more bohemian-esque style where as Charlotte Russe if sort of hipster-ish(wow descriptive hahha).
First of I am recently TOTALLY in to accessories. I love headbands, hats, clips,scarves, jewelry etc. There are just so many possibilities and they are so fun to play around with !

So here are some of my faves:
I LOVE this large flower ring from Forever 21. Its very sort of whimsical and gaudy at the same time.

Okay so this is a terrible picture, I know. This little baby i got from some water-side shop at south street seaport in NYC. I absolutely adore it. It has a glass flower pendant with glass water droplets on it. It is completely gorgeous.




This is obviously a terrible picture, LOOK THERE'S MY FINGER! hahah. But really, super like bohemian look here. Its terrific. Absolutely love this.




These silver bangles I got for Christmas. I am pretty sure they are from Icing, but I might be mistaken. They are so fun to wear and they basically match everything. So, yeah.

RECENT ABSOLUTE FAVORITE
So i made this necklace about, 2 years ago i think. Yeah that's right, I said made. Who knew that I was so talented? hahaa. But really, when i made it I hated it. Now that it has been away for such a long time, I am finding that it is super cute(or so i think). So I have been pairing it with sweaters, jeans and a cute pair of boots. <3
Also loving: Bows. I think these animal print ones from Forever21.com are great!

Apologizing and formalities

Okay so I have something to admit...
I'm a slacker.


So I've been away from blogging for a very long time, and I apologize. I have decided to start blogging more often and stop babbling on about random things. So if you hate meaningless blogs, then just click the little red X in the top right hand corner of your page right now, because all of this post is me basically apologizing and giving the overview of brightening the clouds. So here goes nothing...
So I am basically getting rid of any posts before this because they stunk and there was nothing interesting about them whatsoever. I will start talking more about my recent interests such as fashion, makeup, hair, photography, etc. I will try my best to keep up with this, but who knows?

So topic of the day:

How long has it been since you've laughed and what does laughter mean to you?



Well....as for the how long has it been since I've laughed, I'm pretty sure it was sometime this morning. I laugh a lot. Laughing is a way to show that you are enjoying something or that something was funny. Since I'm a naturally happy person, laughing is something that I do very frequently. Laughter means that I'm enjoying something or, obviously, whatever was said was hilarious. Either way, laughing is something that I love to do. When someone can make me laugh I consider it a very high accomplishment for that person. This is because I don't just laugh at everything. When i like certain things, and those things get made fun of, I definatley do not laugh that the joke.

Ok so this is a REALLY short post. Oh, well. :)

Okay so here we go number 1.

When's the last time you cried and why?

Hmm...I'm pretty sure it was when I watched Marley & Me last week. A wonderful movie might I add. I hadn't seen it and so many people I have asked about it said that it was great. So, of course, I just had to watch it. SPOILER ALERT. If you haven't seen this movie, I recommend that you watch it and stop reading this post. Whew.

Now, to all of you that have seen it. I have never ever had a pet, my mom's one of those types who think that animals should stay away. So, seeing this movie, and knowing the ending from plenty of people telling me, I figured I wouldn't be upset over the death of a dog. But then as the movie successes, I began to sort of understand the love that humans have for their pets. I began to realize they are a best friend, a companion, a confidant. So, and if you know me I'm quite the emotional person, when the end of the movie came and the dog dies. I cried. A lot. It would have been the same type of crying as in a movie where the main character lost a best friend or a family member.

Okay, people that left to go watch the movie can come back now. So guys, post some movies that have changed the way that you view things. This movie certainly changed my views.

Summer Lovin'...

I'm sure many of you picked up my Grease refrence :]. Personally, I am a big musical fan. I love to sing, dance, and watch musicals. So naturally, Grease is one of my all-time favorite movies and broadway plays. But recently I've gotten into newer plays on Broadway. Such as Next to Normal and Into the Heights. Both have great music and have gotten a whole slew of reviews saying how good they were. I haven't seen either ( I wish!) but I hear they are fantastic. This brings me to todays topic.
Music.
I love basically all genres of music. If you look through my iTunes you will find a little bit of everything, indie, country, hiop-rop, rock, alternative, hard core rock, christian, classical, and even a very small amount of rap. Music has always been something that I've been familiar with and just seems normal to me. I know tons of songs and almost every word to all of them. My friends tell me all the time that my head is lyrics.com and that I know every song. Which leads me to my next question.
What are some of your favorite bands/genres of music?
I love me some rock and alternative music. Bands like Relient K, a personal favorite, and Dashboard Confessionals.
Let me know what you like I would love to be able to hear some new bands and new sounds.

I agree completely. Sorry for the rough beginning and cheesy start but we all have to start somewhere. Right? So welcome to my new blog. Brightening the Clouds. Yay! You're probably thinking, what a random name, where did it come from? Well, as many of you may or may not know, I am a HUGE fan of the Twilight Series of books by Stephenie Meyer. Well, when trying to come up with a title for my blog, I used my resources, or my Eclipse book (book 3 in the 4 book saga :]). I opened to a random page and pointed at the phrase "brigtening the clouds" and tada! Blog name. :]
I'll try to keep up with this as much as I can. Sometimes life gets in the way, as we all know.
But I'm looking forward to being able to state my opinions on things going on in politics, the media, and my life in general!
